Re: Samsung UE55F9000STXXU endless restarts w/ extensive diagnosis videos
Hello there,
Spent some time with the OCB board and it seems like a few pins on the Silicon Image SII9575CTUC are shorted to ground. Do you think this is it? The pinout says that there's a pad beneath the chip which is a ground but a few pins are shorted to ground from what I see. Should I replace this before doing anything else?
Could this explain the endless reboot I had before?

Thanks for your reply. I believe I might not be able to do that since the TV is not going past the SmartTV logo. Do you think it would?
I will try this anyway but I think it would still be stuck since it's not booting "into" the OS for the USB to be detected....Last edited by beastaS; 05-10-2018, 07:47 AM.

Re: Samsung UE55F9000STXXU endless restarts w/ extensive diagnosis videos
No more restarts!
But now, the TV remains stuck on SmartTV logo.
So I got myself a new remote for the TV since it didn't come with one. I tried the Mute 2 5 8 Exit and it stopped the endless restart.
I suspect the reason is that when I was "shorting" the EEPROM, I got desperate and started shorting random chips with 8 legs that looked like the EEPROM on both the motherboard and the OCB.
However, reading online, it says the EEPROM chip reflashing...

Samsung UE55F9000STXXU endless restarts w/ extensive diagnosis videos
Hello guys, I bought this unit as a project TV to keep me busy on the weekends (on top of my car haha). The previous owner sold it to me saying it had a pink screen but I could never see that as an evidence and have never got this TV to work past what is shown in the video below.
With the power and OCB connected, the TV does as shown in the following video. Pardon the long video, but please note the brightness of the backlight that keeps going up and down and sometimes the panel switches OFF completely with each restart.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello there! Just came across this forum and I thought I'll join in to get some help working on my project TV :P I got myself a Samsung UE55F9000 as a project TV.
I've been a regular on lots of various technical and automotive forums and it's been a long time though since I posted in forums for a while. I hope this is exciting for me.
