Re: Samsung PN60E530A3F unresponsive
Update!
I did try heat and cold on the Y-main with no change.
But my components came in this afternoon and I replaced the chip, caps and resistor on the y-main. All of the voltages are now correct and stable! The Vsc was a couple of volts low but a quick adjustment and it is right on the money.
Also, the logic board now blinks the happy 1 second flashes with all boards connected.
Unfortunately the TV still will not turn on
I found a reference to jumping two locations on the logic...

Re: Samsung PN60E530A3F unresponsive
Ah! That reminds me that I did try to freeze the Y-main, but I only tried turning the TV on. I did not check voltages while it was cold.
I will try heat and cold this evening to see if there are any changes.

Re: Samsung PN60E530A3F unresponsive
I did find a Y board at shopjimmy, but it is $120. I hate to spend that when i still have doubts about the other boards.
Thanks for the confirmation on the resistor. I did find two others that are identical on the board and they measure 100k. Don't know why I didn't think to check that before!

Samsung PN60E530A3F unresponsive
This is a Samsung PN60E530A3F Plasma. There are several threads here on this TV where the startup sound will play but there is no picture. This TV did have that problem, but before I could get around to applying the fix that I found here on this forum, a nearby lightning strike made the problems worse. Now the TV will not respond at all. The only sign of life is the blinking green led on the logic board.
So before the lightning strike, I had planned to replace four components on the Y-main board to fix the intermittent startup problem (from this...
