Re: Pannasonic TX-42AS500B - Single fixed horizontal Line
Have tried the tabs, but will give it another go.
these are close ups of the issue if it helps at all. I fear the issue might be panel related and I'm left with a permanent fault.

Re: Pannasonic TX-42AS500B - Single fixed horizontal Line
It does run from left to right but it's not one continuous colour. Through a video source it seems to fade from what appears to be green to red. On a black screen it isn't visible at all.
On very close inspection, the horizontal line is 1 pixel thickness....

Pannasonic TX-42AS500B - Single fixed horizontal Line
Hi guys, I've just replaced a faulty LED strip on my panny and when turning on TV, I've noticed a single fixed horizontal line on the upper half of the screen.
On a light picture it goes across the entire screen from left to right. More green on the left and then fades into a reddish colour. On a dark picture it isn't noticeable at all.
(Ignore the curved black line, that is a scratch on the diffuser sheet that need replacing too.)
Any ideas if it is a bad Tab, Panel or T-con issue.
Cheers

Re: Panny TX-42AS500B upper corner of screen flickering
All original and replacement LED's where working as expected. The TV has been on for about 1 Hour now and no flickering. TV was unplugged and powered off for several days whilst I waited for the replacement LED strips. When I replaced the Dead LED strips and reassembled the TV and plugged it into the mains and turned it on, the intermittent flickering seemed to manifest after several minutes.
As of now there has been no more flickering, but I am still concerned it might be a failed component that originally made the...Last edited by cagey1two3; 03-29-2018, 10:30 AM.

Panny TX-42AS500B upper corner of screen flickering
Hi Guys, hope you are all well.
I recently diagnosed some bad LED strips in my Panny TX-42AS500B, after I had the standby light code flashing once every couple of seconds. These have now been successfully replaced and now the TV turns on as expected.
There seems to be a secondary issue of the upper right corner of screen flickering.
This only happens intermittently and when it does happen it has taken a few minutes for the issue to occur once the TV is switched on. When I turn of the TV the flickering seems to subside. Like I mentioned, this seem to be an intermittent issue....

White Reflective sheet for LED backlight?
Hi Guys, I appreciate that this is not strictly a technical issue, but I'm stumped and could do with some help.
I've just disassembled my Panasonic TX-42AS500B and diagnosed some failed LED strips, which I have now ordered so I can replace the dead strips.
Whilst I was disassembling the TV the bottom most white reflective sheet (not sure if that is the correct name for it, but it is the one with holes that covers the led strips and chassis) was glued to chassis and damaged in parts when removed.
I am now concerned that when I reassemble the TV, LED lamps...
