Arcam FMJ A29 Stero Amp - schematic diagram of power supply
Hi, I'm hoping someone on here can supply or point me in the right direction for a service sheet for the above amp.
Its on the bench, no power, all 3 fuses on main board are intact. no voltages are coming out of the mains tranformer, but it is recieving its input voltages ok, theres a relay in circuit with the transformer that might be my problem, either that or the transformer itself, would love to have the circuit diagram just to see how exactly this operates, many thanks in advance...cheers

Hitachi 50HYT62U - Lines on Picture
Hi
Turning my attention to this pile of bullox from vestel, fault is:
Faint horizantal lines on all pics/extensions...
3-4 vertical lines on all pics/extensions...
All caps etc on driver boards are testing ok, screen tabs are not heating up,
some sprayed freezeit on t-con & main board does no effect, Lightly jiggling the lvds cable does make the pictures colour go odd but no effect on the lines...
I'm now searching for new firmware to see if this will cure the problem, this failing is there another common cause that can do this, a naff t-con... -

this is a long shot, but would anyone happen to have a serial number for the above set, maybe someone have a scrap one lying in the workshop?
this way I can enter it on Sharps website & get the firmware from there?

hi, I'm still struggling to find the firmware
I have contacted UMC so fingers crossed,
I've found out that this TV is part of the F5000 SERIES from Sharp,
other firmware that might help would be for the following model numbers:
LC-49CFE5002E
LC-49CFE5001K
LC-49CFE5001E

Please can anyone supply or point me in the direction of the above set,
My set was stuck in standby, this set uses same boards as Blaupunkt, and indeed the firmware available from UMC got the set up & going,
but with the wronged name splash screen 7 my main problem of having no remote control operation,
This is due to the Sharp tv using a RF remote & not the standard IR remote as the Blaupunkt uses,
I believe if I had the proper Sharp firmware all would be well,
I have already tried at the Sharp support site, but with my tv missing its label from back... -

hi, i've been tempted with doing the usb update, just kinda put of after the repair shop seemed to have bricked the orginal main board with update,
I contacted the repair guy & compared the update file, his & the 1 on sonys website are the same...

hi, had another quick look at this tv on my lunch,
I tried doing the power/v- reset,
I held the 2 buttons in & powered on with plug,
All i get is the green/amber flashing for approx 30secs, then light goes out, no green led.
I will take all voltages and post them here later this evening.

Hi, I have taken this TV on against my better judgement,
It was left in for repair at our local repair shop with the following history.
Tv powers on, s/by led flashes green & amber for approx 30secs then goes to a solid white.
You can stop the green/amber flashing earlier if you turn tv on with remote or side power button, this brings you straight to a solid white lit led,
Nothing appears on screen, no backlight lit or no image shows when shining torch at screen, there is some audio when I select menu, source etc on remote control, so I guess tv has powered on.... -

hi,
I was at a customers house this morning to check out the above tv,
Everything with the tv is fine apart from a constant over bright/contrast picture on all channels & inputs.
In the the setting i've turned down the levels of the brightness/contrast & the backlight level...this does bring the brightness down but each picture still shows a higher than normal brightness. any ideas?
I'll upload photos once i find my data cable.

hi, my name is Paul, i'm from Belfast, N-Ireland
i've just got back into tv servicing after a 6 year break, due to moving over to the pc/laptop repair side of things, before the break i was fixing tv's since i was 15, errmm i'm 46 now, minus 6 year break that makes 25 years in the tv repair business.
How long will i stick with the tvs again...god know's lol.
