I am so impressed by this forum and this thread, I just rescued my Sharp Aquos 60 by using the info I gained from this thread. This must be a fairly common problem, but I do believe it was a power spike during a small thunderstorm that caused the issue with the Component built into on the Tabs. And just in case I am right, I will be running my Aquos and all the devices it connects to on a UPS/battery to protect it better than the surge suppressing power strip I had it on.
