I have found a replacement board for 110.00
Is that worth it? Or am I looking at a simple fix with some capacitors and a transformer?

whew--- I am just glad to see that I wasn't losing my mind. I will check it out when I get to the house. So, worse case scenario is that I need to replace the PSB? I will look at it when I get to the house, but I cannot tell from the pics where the fuse is. If I cannot find it too (please no), then I will let you know. Gentlemen, thank you for taking the time..
Here is the pic of the model info on the back. I am not sure if it is a plasma or not (sounds so uneducated, I know). On the back it says things about LCD warnings and such, but I really am unable to find the inverter boards. SO - here is the info - really looking forward to your advice. Thanks much

That would be awesome - I will take it apart again tomorrow night and post it up. I looked in the manual that was posted on this forum and none of them look like the open back of my TV.... SOOOO - I will really like to post it up. Do all of these have the inverters? I found the T-con and wondered if maybe mine doesnt have an inverter. Funny thing is that I can break down an M1A2 Tank and swap an engine in no time flat, but I cant find an inverter board on a TV?Leave a comment:

Question about Philips 42PFL7422D/37
I have taken this TV completely apart and put it back together, and I cannot find the inverter board. I have read so many places that when the sound is working but the display is not that it is a bad inverter board (master or slave). HOWEVER, I cannot find this board everyone speak of. Could I have a different model that does not have one? Does the T-con board replace this? I found it. Basically I want to get it working, and want to order the right part. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time!

OK - I am obviously going to be a newbie to this... I have a 42PFL7422D/37 and I do not see an inverter board. I did find a T-con board, but where everyone else's pics show a panel next to the SSB, I have a flat surface. Could it be that my TV doesnt have an inverter? Basically I have the typical (or so it seems) Philips sound but NO picture. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much!
