Just wanted to let you guys know my colleague found a replacement, we soldered it on and now the screen works again!

Hey guys!

I wanted to repaste my ASUS laptop and everything went just fine, except when I tried to put it back together I accidentally inserted the battery before the screen connector. When inserting the screen I hit the connector on the board and a spark happened .

The situation now is that the computer works (outputs over HDMI) but the screen doesnt turn on.

I've tracked the burned component on the motherboard and found a schematic for the laptop on this forum (great stuff!). My problem now is that I can't figure out the exact name or operation...
