Same question here, or does anyone know what other chip is compatible with ALC3227?

Re: How to avoid Liquid Damage due to Soldering
I think problem might be procuring genuine amtech in Iran.
Maybe insat are shipping there? caspian, it might be worth asking http://www.insatinternational.com/Re: How to avoid Liquid Damage due t...nal.com/

Re: Halnziye HY610 Gold thermal compound
Agreegold has a lower thermal conductivity even than copper , unless they managed to discover/create an isotope of gold with higher thermal conductivity, that is definitely rubbish. And it's actually not that expensive either so makes you wonder what they really put in it? Frankly I'm a bit surprised how many choices of thermal paste there are out there at the moment.
Look at this:

And it's not even all of them.Re:...

Re: How to avoid Liquid Damage due to Soldering
As diif said above, best thing is to use quality flux and 99.9% purity IPA. I use amtech 559 no clean flux as well and never had problems. Since you are not sure what that thinner contains I don't think it's a good idea to use it as you don't know how it will affect the components or how the chemicals react to the flux you're using and may cause more damage.

Re: Halnziye HY610 Gold thermal compound
I have been using Halnziye HY880 for some time now and it's better than I was hoping. I think it's a good alternative money wise. Lower thermal conductivity than MX-4 but still quite good even over time. Never tried the gold one though. Also try to avoid ebay or buy from a seller you know.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello everyone,
Been reading the forum for many years now but just never joined. I've been fixing electronics since I was little, always loved knowing how things work. At the moment I'm mostly fixing laptops and PCs. I hope to share some useful knowledge as this forum has been quite useful to me as well.
Happy repairing to all!
