  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello to all here, I joined Badcaps to learn about how to upgrade the "caps" in my NAD C272 amp from a old thread I found from here. I am a Ham Radio operator KG5HBI(call sign) and need to learn more about how to replace caps, resistors etc on PCB. I paid BIG bucks to have ALL the caps (FRANKO,RIFA etc) replaced in my ReVox R2R a few years ago then the oil can caps in my networks in my vintage Klipsch speakers that looked easy vs the R2R. Looking at soldering stations now as my quest begins to do some of my own maintenance...

  • Re: NAD C272/C372 filter cap failures

Old thread and my first post here so hi to all. .... I just purchased (waiting on USPS) a NAD C272 amp serial# H4XC27204475. How can I find out what year this one is????????? I read this thread about the "cap mod" I am invested in this now :-) any help would be appreciated. I have had fans on all my equipment (Ham and stereo/ HT gear)for years and never stack. I will NOT be bi amping, doubt I will need more then 70 watts per channel(Klipsch Cornwals) efficient speakers in small den.. I am mating the C272 with my C162 for my TT...
