Ran MATS on the GPU,* It came back as a failed memory chip at Bank C1. I have removed the chip and I'm now in search of a new one. (part Number D9VRL) It's a Micron BGA 1Gb Nand Flash Memory. Will update after I find replacement part.* *...Leave a comment:

I do believe R_J is correct in saying they are .022uF and around 500v. The safest way to proceed would to just buy the repair kit. That way you will have the correct caps and plus you will have some spare parts in case you need them.Leave a comment:

If i remember correctly the BL_dim should vary from low DC voltage close to zero bl off up to maybe 4VDC BL full on.Leave a comment:

I normally limit myself to $50 or ill find a buyer first and ask them if it is fixable how much would they be willing to spend on the repair. I never charge labor fees only parts. I sold one 50 inch plasma to a lady for .50 cents. lol. she was so happy she hugged me for like 10 mins. lol

one of my hobbies is I go down to our local dump where they have a bin for all electronic disposal, I root around and find units to repair or steal parts off of. I have supplied my brothers, my fathers, and my house all with 50 inch plus tvs that i have repaired. I think so far the most i have in one tv is about 50 bucks. Ill try and fix anything i can find!! its fun for me. what iv don in the past If you want to test the back lights circuit without any led strips connected is disconnect power supply cables from all other boards. Then either bring power supply on pin low or high depending on the circuit, check to see if you have all you dc voltage outputs EX 12, 5 24 depending on power supply. Then bring your Bl_on high by inserting 3vDC into the circuit and then you must bring your BL_dim circuit High with about 3VDC and that should activate the BL-On circuit and you should have a voltage across your pins on the...Leave a comment:

Correct me if im wrong but in his original post he states that the TV powers on and he as an image on the screen but no back light. IF this is correct wouldn't he have the 300-400VDC on the main filter caps?Leave a comment:

Yes most models will not output any power if not connected, now there is a way to manipulate the Main board into thinking the strips is connected. But from my past history i have always found that if the main board and power supply are coming on and you have an image with no back light then 95% of the time you have a faulty LED strip or LEd....Leave a comment:
