the y board fixed the problem. I changed the z board first, it had a burn path on it.

i ordered the y board and the color improved but pic stayed dim so i ordered the other one and will put it on tomorrow.

i am teaching myself to work on tvs. I already repaired 2. both of those were lcd. This plasma is older and more to it, so it seems. I repaied two ps3s also.Leave a comment:

not better after I changed the board the same. from reading on here I think i need to change the other board. The one I changed had a burn trail on it so i know it was bad.Leave a comment:

What board controls the brightness of the screen on a plasma display. The picture is ok in a poorly lit room but in a room with lights on I can barely see the picture. This is a 2005 model. I already changed the zsus board.
