• Re: Samsung 931BW - capxon capacitors popped

Thanks for your welcome and answer, I guess 20mm would be ok since one nearby capacitor is a 20mm, I will have to reassemble the screen to be certain. I haven't placed my order yet, if there is enough room I will give Panasonic a try, anyway it seems I can't do worse than the original capxon !

Thanks for the confirmation, from the reading I have made so far on badcaps.net I was under the impression that Capxon is serious crap. Samsung should think less about cost-killing and a bit more about it's customers...

I will get back to you when the work is done, hope my first time won't turn into a disaster.

  • Samsung 931BW - capxon capacitors popped

Hello from Norway to the electronic experts,

I am new to the recap art, and electronic in general, but nonetheless willing to learn and try to replace a couple of CapXon c716 from a Samsung lcd computer display. Problem is buying a replacement is like taking a trip to uncharted jungle for me, could you please help me make a wise choice ?

The original parts are capxon c716, 1000µf, 10V, GL105°, height ±16mm, diameter 10mm, Radial Leaded mount type. I attached pictures of the faulty caps in place.

Online shop I am currently looking at is http://no.farnell.com...
