LOL. I've actually had a tab with that exact page open in by browser for the last few days. Been debating between trying to replace the Mosfets myself, or just pay the $55 and have you do them.

I'm actually not too far from you either, I'm in south Chandler near I-10 & Riggs....

I did take the YSUS board off too though, and also reflowed joints on there, and hooked it back up without installing the grounding screws.

I haven't tested the mosfets on the ZSUS board yet, but now you have me curious about the YSUS board. Since I didn't put the screws back into that board either before testing, do you think that one has blown mosfets too? It doesn't cause the TV to turn off like the ZSUS board does, but is there chance they're still damaged?

Also, I watched some videos online about how to test mosfets, and they all say you shouldn't have it touching anything else when tested. Does that mean I need to remove them from the board...

I have until the end of today to either fix this TV or return it where I bought it (10 day return policy) if I can't get it working. So I'm pretty much at the end of my rope. Any other ideas?? Is it possible that all the boards are fine, and it's just a bad panel? Everything else seems to work - backlight, sound, buttons, the LED backlight gets brighter when I connect a source, there's just absolutely nothing on the screen.

If that replacement board I got was indeed good, and the other...

I don't necessarily know the menu button specifically works, but all the others do. I can change the source, adjust volume, power on/off, etc. The menu button would bring up a menu that I obviously wouldn't be able to see, but I just figured if most of them they probably all work.

And yes, the connectors are seated fine, I've double and triple checked that both with the original board as well as the replacement.

Well shit. I did try to power it up before putting all the screws back in, and then when it made that sound and shut off a few times that's when I put all the screws back in and tried again with the same result. Did I maybe short out some mosfets by not putting the screws back in before powering it back on the first time?

I'm an idiot, I had it in AC mode! Looks like it's 12.67-12.68VDC, same reading on both sides of the fuse....

I have an LG 60" plasma that is about 7-8 years old. A year or so ago it started getting some discoloration on the top part of the screen, but the picture still showed up and looked good on the rest of the screen and it always turned on/off just fine. Due to the discoloration I stopped using the TV, and it just sat in another room for about a year. I decided to try fixing it this past weekend so I did some reading online and learned that there are typically some solder joints on the YSUS and ZSUS boards that can crack and need to be reflowed. Finally had a chance to check the voltage, I get 27V on either side of that fuse. I assume that means the fuse is good? Anything else I should check?

Which one is the fuse that I need to test? Is it C_DF1 just above and to the left of the cable that connects to the main board?...

I found my panel number which is T460FBE2-DB, and when I looked that up the only matching T-con board is P/N BN81-04456A (also called 35-D052600).

Also, one odd thing is the board that was in the TV when I got it is P/N 35-D046450. However, when I looked on ShopJimmy that board shows it's for the TV model UN46C6500VF and mine is UN46C6[B]4[/B]00[B]R[/B]F. The boards listed for my TV are either BN81-05772A or LJ94-03436D. I just heard back from the eBay seller I bough the t-con board from, and he told me he buys broken TV's and parts them out on eBay, and that particular board came from a TV where the screen was shattered so he can't say with 100% certainty if it actually worked or not. So he offered me a refund and no need to send it back. I'm guess it was probably bad also, in fact maybe since the TV stopped working the owner got mad and took a baseball bat to it - hence the broken screen! LOL

There isn't much to see in pics, just s blank screen with a backlight on. Or did you mean see pics of the boards to see if any capacitors look like they might be bad? I'd much rather repair a board than have to buy a whole new one, I've just never dealt with anything but radial electrolytic capacitors so I don't even know what to look for on the other types....

No pic at all, but the backlight is fully on. Screen isn't cracked or damaged in any way. And sound works, menu buttons work, everything. Just no picture....

As the title says, I have a Samsung UN46C6400 which powers on, the LED backlight comes on, sound works, and all the touch buttons work - but there's no picture. When powered on with no input the LED lights are fairly dim, but then when you connect an active HDMI source the backlight gets much brighter and sound comes out of the speakers.

My initial instinct was a bad T-con board, so I ordered a replacement from eBay - which says it was taken from a working TV with a broken LCD. But after I swapped it out the TV still exhibits the same symptoms. I've messaged the seller to confirm...
