All those recovery dates are perplexing. How is it that they aren't the current date? Mine stays correct with the current date no matter what I do.

Right now it is 01-12-2018
Recovery should be AHAAAAA9
But just as every other time it isn't working. This is on a t100ta-c1-gr

Have a Asus T100ta-c1-gr that was recently given to me by a friend, about a year after his dog tried to eat it. Screen (touch screen) is cracked, and part of the case is damaged, but I am able to power it up.
He gave me the admin password for it (bios) and in a genius move I cleared it, but not the user password.
Naturally it now wants the user password and he hasn't used that since he bought it.
I have tried a generator that told me 2018/01/07 was H0BB00LD. It still says Invalid Password....
It let me in with the Admin password,...
