Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
As promised here's the verdict on doing the repair kit on the SC board. I bought the kit that shopjimmy sells. I had a friend that works at a medical electronics lab repair the board. She said all went well but she wasn't crazy about a couple caps, so she replaced those as well. She also replaced the other mosfets that didn't come in the kit as a precaution. Her logic is they all had the same amount of time on them and the remaining ones could be problematic not too far down the road.
I'm happy to say it did the...

Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
You have been very helpful. I appreciate all the advice. I know an electronics whiz, I'm going to see if he can solder in the components in the repair kit. Hopefully that'll fix the issue. I really don't want to spend a fortune on a new TV quite yet. I'll keep you posted on whether or not the repair was a success.

Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
I see there's 7 of those mosfets in the kit but the board has probably twice as much. Also, i pulled the board and gave it a close look. I noticed on the underside around those mosfets the board has very slight discoloration. Is the board itself junk?

Re: Panasonic P60ST60 7 Blinks
If the other boards that were replaced are known good, then the only other 2 boards that are left are the ss and the a boards.

Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
All i can find is used boards or repair services. There are new boards being sold out of China, but i don't know how much i would trust them. Is there any other tv's that carry the same board that i may be able to dissect for this board?

Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
I did the reistance test to the SD, SU, and SC boards. I found the SD and SU boards tested a smidge under the 2.1M Ohm spec. The SC board however tested OL @ pin 3 and 2.9K Ohm @ pin 5 on Connector SC42. I'm assuming the SC board is screwed.
Where is the VSUS and how do I test it?

Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
On the SS board I have a three wire connector @SS11. Between pins 1 and 3 I have 1.3M ohms, between pins 1 and 4 I have 1.4M ohms. On the SC board at connector SC2 I can't get a stable reading. It started at 1.4m Ohms but was steadily dropping....

Re: Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
I found your guide and I narrowed it down to the SC board using the flow chart for code 10 full HD. 2 questions, 1) I read that if the SC board fails repeatedly with a shorted Vsus then replace the A board as well. How do I know it has a failed Vsus and Using the flow chart in your guide would that be enough times to have to replace the A board as well? 2) I noticed when plugging SS11 back in I heard a small arc. Is this bad? I did wait a few minutes and held the power button for a few seconds before I plugged...

Panasonic TC-P50S2 10 Blinks Diagnosis Procedure
I have a Panasonic 50" Plasma TC-P50S2 that has the 10 blinks of death. I turned the TV on as usual to catch the nightly news. After about 5 minutes the TV turned off and wouldn't turn back on. After unplugging it and plugging it back in, the TV would make a few clicks and then flash the 10 blinking lights. I did notice that before the power light starts to flash there is one or two less relay clicks than it had when it was working properly. I've done some research and think there may be a problem with the P board, but I cannot seem to find a diagnostic procedure to confirm the P board is...
