  • Re: Sharp LC-32D62U horizontal lines

Hey Savario. Did you ever solve the problem? I have the exact same TV displaying the problem shown in your picture of the menu (vertical lines). I first tried to replace the T-CON board and that did not fix the issue. I then replaced the Main Controller board and it solved the problem although now after a few hours of running the TV shuts off with a blinking light error. I believe it to be a heat related problem of which I'm going to try and remove the thermal pads and reapply with new thermal paste to see if that helps. If I leave the TV off...

    Anyone?

My original problem - vertical lines in picture, most noticeable on light coloured images. Can it be traced to any specific component with some testing?

Replacing the Main board fixed the picture problem for a day but now it is causing the Power Supply to shut down all voltages through P9701 once it faults. I would like to understand how this all works if anyone cares to spend the time with me? Thanks.

Hi all, been reading a lot of posts about similar problems to mine regarding error codes and get confused about how to count the light patterns.

My original problem can be seen in Pic1 & Pic2. I thought a T-Con problem at first but a replacement board produced the same results. Purchased a Main board off eBay and the problem went away, had a perfect picture (for a day). Powered on the next day and ran perfect for 15 minutes then went into error code after 3 power cycles. Error is OPC and Power blink once together then Power blinks another 2 times and then the whole blink sequence...

Looking to retire shortly and resurrect my hobby tinkering with electronics, mainly fixing TV's and computers. I need to fill part of my days so I thought joining a forum might satisfy that by interacting with the community.
