Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
I bought one a couple weeks ago (before I saw them on Amazon and other sites). Paid a bit more as well.. Now i just need to find time to install it.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
On the flip side, it looks like some places are beginning to stock the replacement board again. I see it for as low as $66.32 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=COV32809701Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on<br ...32809701

I joined the site. You cannot download files unless you pay for a premium membership or have a minimum of 250 posts... LOL...

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
As far as I can tell, the EN signal is not used. Following the traces on the back, there is no R7, Q1, C8, or R10.
Looks like they must have made some revisions to the original circuit.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
The picture in post #5 is the back of my board. I can take a picture of the front, if you would like. However, I'm thinking CMS has covered both sides and the back of the TV.
It is odd that it looks as if the EN pin is not actually connected to anything.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
I don't think Kyle provided that information; however, I did post that in post #3.
12V = 6.95V
24V = 15.64V
EN = 2.54V

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
Not knowing enough about how this works, is the power supply in an always on state or does it wait for a signal on EN, to activate the power supply?

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
My apologies. I have a lot of respect for your knowledge and time.
I originally was just wanting to confirm that it was the power supply that was at fault. Then you and maxvalutech started offering troubleshooting tips. So, I figured I would just go the route of trying to fix it with your guidance.
I have looked for a replacement board with no luck. Every website that I have found shows out of stock and no expected replacement stock.Last edited by WTRWLKR; 01-18-2018, 01:06 PM.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
Got it. I will use Pin 2 for the ground point and record the voltages of all other pins.
I will do that after I get home tonight and post the results.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
Are these the expected voltages?
What voltages should I look at next?
Thank you

Hi Budm,
I have provided some updated information about my LG 60LB5200. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66348
I had used a bad ground point to measure Vcc. Using PIN 1 for Vcc and PIN 2 for ground, I get 14.49V.
I measured across the cap and get 15.1V.
Any ideas where I should look next?
Your knowledge and assistance is very much appreciated.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
maxvalutech, I looked at the manual. It appears to get into everything except the power board.
The only reference that I found for the power board was a statement of if power on voltage is not 3.5V, replace the power board.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
I was able to trace Vcc to a nearby transistor. Is it the one you are needing voltages from, or did I miss it by a long shot?...

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
Is the Vcc good or bad? Do you need me to get other voltages?
Thanks for your guidance.

Re: LG 60LB5200 will not turn on
Looks like an NXP TEA1755T
Pin 1 Vcc = 1.15V
Pin 5 LATCH = 1.10V...

I guess I must have stumped the veteran members with this one. It's been about 30 years, since I last dealt with electronics at this level.
