    RS are fairly pricey. Panasonic being cheaper than then the Rubycon their comes to £14 inc. delivery a new 500w PSU costs £12.95 delivered (7-9 days)

    Anyone know of other suppliers or members in UK with surplus ?

    At the moment I have a Hakko 926 (got a load of tips for it) it's a great iron very reliable and lasts ages with heavy use. recently invested in a PACE MBT-2500 rework station got a PACE sodr-pen iron and sodr-xtractor. This kit is very good. iron has veru good thermal recovery. Once you use the sodr-extractor you cant live withought it - throw that solder sucker in the pen it's usless. This PACE kit costs a lot of money and wouldnt advice you shell out so much unless you intend to use it a lot. The good thing about it is loads of accesories, parts easily avaialbe and should some new soldering...

    Luckily never needed to replace capacitors (Rubycon on my mobo) but my PSU has failed. I knew it was going to happen problem getting past system post for about a month. I hardly used my gaming computer hence no urgency. I needid it last night to set up a SQL database and a cap popped. System was still running but shut it down. On inspection of cpu 4x2200uf 10v Jxxxx something comapny caps all leaking along. 2x2200uf 10v slightrly bigger package seem fine but I think should replace anyway one 2200uf 16v also leaking. I would probabaly have got a new PSU but cant afford it at the moment so going...
