Re: HP Pavilion Gaming short circuit
My freeze spray freezes then melts leaving a wet residue. I usually brush on isopropyl and then give it the once over with the hot air station. I thought they all worked like this. It is electrical freeze spray. The caps in the centre are all shorted, laptop does power on, just no volts at the hard drive....just realized I posted in the wrong section, I do believe it was late when I originally posted ...

HP Pavilion Gaming short circuit
Hi guys HP with board X1PD, "Boot option not found" on start up, no volts at hard drive. Clusters of caps in the centre of board all seem to be shorted, I've sprayed freeze spray on both sides of the board but cant find anything getting hot. Any suggestions?...

Re: Lenovo B50-30
if the first photo was rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise (as i should have done ) Im getting 0 volts on the right side of the mosfet P0302. This was the mosfet that was badly burnt, I replaced it using a mosfet from a donor lenovo board but Im still getting 0 volts. Do they have to be 100% the same or will a similar one do the job?
