Re: Samsung PS58C7000YM Cycling menus and settings automatically (Video included)
OK. NOW I've found the part. It was silly of me to see the wires run to that corner and assume the E Buffer was the panel I needed. The IR was beneath it.
Here is the part:

Re: Samsung PS58C7000YM Cycling menus and settings automatically (Video included)
Is my next step to replace the board or is it something that can be fixed?
And if I buy a new board, does it generally come with all bits and bobs on it, or will I have to buy those and solder and such? In the pictures I'm seeing it looks like the latter.
Here are some I have found:

Re: Samsung PS58C7000YM Cycling menus and settings automatically (Video included)
I unplugged the IR and it was looking good. Before unplugging it, the menu-cycling was really quite erratic so I left it alone to really be sure.
Unfortunately it turned itself off after only 10 minutes or so. It looks like the IR might be one issue and then an additional issue.

Re: Samsung PS58C7000YM Cycling menus and settings automatically (Video included)
So far its not turning on. There's no standby light.
Is that correct?
EDIT: The standby light came after just leaving it alone for a while (that could be an issue there). I turned it on with the remote and it's cycling through colours which I guess is the test pattern you mentioned. Video coming.

The power button is indeed on there.
Could you explain how to do that? I can't see which to unplug on the diagram

Re: Samsung PS58C7000YM Cycling menus and settings automatically (Video included)
(Can't seem to find an edit button)
I have now updated the firmware and the issue is still there.
I've also noticed that while its doing it, the standby light is flickering lots as though its receiving input.

Here is the video of the issue:

This still happens when the batteries are removed from the remote so I don't believe its that. Sometimes it is very frequent, as in the video, and other times it barely happens at all (opens the menu once after a half hour).
Often when I turn it on it's put itself into Store Demo mode.
Can this be fixed?
If you need any more information please ask.https://Here is the video of the iss...wdDaF16o[/url]
