Re: e701i-a3 no picture but backlights

Just bought a vizio e701i a3. With black screen but power and sound. Replaced tcon board and about 10 minutes later it faded black from left to right. Would this be the same symptoms as mentioned or should I just get a better tonight board. Again 5years old and just went out. Thanks much
