Re: Samsung un58j5190 power supply failed
Well! It's a moot point now. I cracked the screen while relocating it. I need to get me a pair of those suction cup screen holders.

Re: Samsung un58j5190 power supply failed
Hey "cspiddler", I just wanted to thank you for this post! A buddy of mine gave me this TV and when I opened it up the exact same problem was very evident on the power board. This post saved me a lot of time, thank you.

Re: 47ln5400 dimming
Hi Bud!
I am sure that all LEDs are working. If I can post a video on here I will, but I will explain as best I can. It doesn't flicker so much as it is normal for about 2-3 seconds then dims for 2-3 seconds. It doesn't lose the picture, but not as bright. I noticed last night when I paused it on a image that lights up the whole screen that it appears to be occurring in the upper left part of the screen. Adjusting back light, picture, and anything else I tried does not change this phenomena.

Re: 47ln5400 dimming
I tested the strip with a tester, but then fired the set up after installation and all are working fine. It's definitely a rythmic pulse, but only afteer I connect the screen.Last edited by cmg3631; 02-18-2018, 04:33 PM.

47ln5400 dimming
Hey Guys!
I am having a problem with this 47ln5400. I replaced a bad LED strip and put everything back together. Turned it on and it works great except for the fact that the left side of the screen, about the last 1/4 of it, dims and brightens at 2 second intervals. It doesn't do it when I have it torn down to the LEDs. They stay on constant. However when I put the screen back on it does it again. Upgraded firmware, same problem. Although it is watchable and has a great picture, the dimming is very annoying to me
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all your advice on that model Bud!

Re: v047lhdtv10a
Thank you so much for the advice and patience. So in your professional opinion you think the inverters are bad? I may just have to put this TV on the back burner for the time being. The reason I got into working on these was to fix my TV which is an LG 50ln5100. I am pretty sure that I've narrowed it down to the LEDs. Seems to be pretty common.

Re: v047lhdtv10a
Thought you gave up on me LOL.
I have never done one before but I'm willing to learn. Is this doable, or do you think I could really screw things up worse? I already replaced the 4 caps.

Ok...The boards I have are 6632L-0392A-Master 6632L-0393-Slave
The ones at shopjimmy are 6632L-0486A/6632L-0487A

Re: v047lhdtv10a
I did label it vo47lfhdtv10a
The main board in it is 3647-0072-0150 (3a)
This is different from what shopjimmy says.
Slave is 6632L-0393A Master is 6632L-0392ALast edited by cmg3631; 12-08-2017, 09:23 PM.

Re: v047lhdtv10a
Hi Bud! There are 2 inverter boards, Master and Slave. I have tried and tried to get some good pics, don't know what is wrong. For the record pins are as follows if you can't see: 11 Vbr_ A 12 ON/OFF 13 Vbr_ B 14 Lamp ST
1-5 labeled VIN
6-10 Labeled GND...

Re: v047lhdtv10a
Is the BL-ON on the inverter or power supply? The 2 pins 13 and 14 on the power board read 13-2.9v and 14-2.4v. The video I watched showed 13-3.26v and 14-4.17v. Is this an issue? And am I giving you correctly what you asked for? Again, thank you for your patience.

Re: v047lhdtv10a
I am getting 24v at both inverters. I measured this from cold ground to the fuse just past the plug on inverters.

Re: v047lhdtv10a
Thanks aaron! If the ceramic fuses are the ones right in front of the plug in, the ohms say that the fuses on both boards are ok. Thanks for your patience! I evidently got bad advice on that 470 cap. I'm pretty new to this.

Re: v047lhdtv10a
I'm sorry about the pics. I even tried a different phone and photography isn't my thing!
It IS 15.3 mV. Sorry. I have a 470uf 50v. Would that be better to use?

Re: v047lhdtv10a
Hi Bud!
I hope these are OK. The best I can do. Yes, I am positive about the voltage.n Just tried again and it is 15.3 on pin 1 with tv off, and 3.13 with power on. I don't know where that voltage is coming from. All others are ok....
