DELL Alienware x16 r1 bios dump or clearME
Hello friends,
Alienware X16 R1
MB: IDP60 LA-M418P Rev1.0 (A00)
ST: 4MH6RV3
black screen, power led swapping colors, then blinks 4 times blue and turns off
I attach the original bios and a modified version with System BIOS replaced from the latest official file. (it seems the original bios is 1.14)
I need to clear ME for both. Found the MFIT and the required ME firmware version but i'm not experienced with version 16.1.
Thank you...

Here i am too. PPVCC_S0_CPU to GND 0 ohm.1V injection while the phases coils are removed drops to 0.75V @ 5A. There is a thermal production on or around CPU but i can't say that the CPU becomes hot. tbh nothing that is connected to PPVCC_S0_CPU becomes hot. Even after 5 minutes of 1V injection. any idea? Device had only a small spot of corrosion on R7673 and C7673 just next to U7650.Last edited by incorrect; 11-25-2023, 03:33 AM.

Re: HP LA-D711P no power after not charging
update.
while i plug the charger i see a spike of 0.5v on the gate of the first mosfet.
seems like somethings turns the gate off.

Re: HP LA-D711P no power after not charging
ACDRV and CMSRC still 0V.
I removed the 2nd mosfet and shorted source with drain. ACDRV and CMSRC went to 0.8V.
Also, i found that BATDRV is 1.5V. not sure if it's normal...

Re: HP LA-D711P no power after not charging
I took a look to the bq datasheet yesterday already. I believe that the ic needs replacement, because of the shorted pq4 earlier.i will replace it as soon i receive a new ic and i will keep you up to date.
@mon2 the voltage on vcc seems normal.

HP LA-D711P no power after not charging
Hello,
my LA-D711P stop working. found and replaced a failed ceramic at 3VALW.
after that, battery couldn't charge but laptop could turn on.
found that PQ4 was shorted. I replaced the PQ4 but no voltage on gate.
Any idea will be welcome.
Thank you

Re: Surface pro 4 backlight issue
Back to my own post, i just removed the MP3388S and the voltage on Vin came back to 8.5V. So it seems that the Driver ic failed. Waiting for the new one to replace it.

Surface pro 4 backlight issue
Hello all,
a dead surface pro 4 arrived at my place some days ago.
It had a blown fuse (0ohm Resistor) and i replaced it.
After resistor replacement, i connected the display and checked the device and the device turned on. i just unplugged the power at surface logo and assembled the device back.
After that, i turned on the device again but no backlight at all. The LED Driver IC - MP3388s Vin is 0.35v before power on and 1.5v after turn on but still not enough to turn on the LEDs i think, as the driver ic needs 4.5V+. I see some spikes from 1.5V to 4V some times but...

Re: ISL95833 +VCC_CORE ok, But no +VCC_GFXCORE_AXG.
Back to this post. I have the same issue. No +VCC_GFXCORE_AXG. No UGATEG signal too. everything else is working fine, or i think so. I didn't replace ISL yet. Already tried 3 bios dumps. The device starts with 5 beeps but of course no display. it is UMA. Any suggestions?

Re: gl702vm 6th gen for service - No Post
yes,it is the one with the 1060 6gb gpu.
thank you very much for the info you shared.
i believe that if the problem begins from the vram block, the laptop should stay on while no voltage on vram block rails.no?
i would probably cut the power on gpu rail and check if the laptop stays on.
