  • Re: Samsung UE32UH4003

I think my multimeter sucks, I changed from auto range to mV and I measured high voltage, now If I measured the voltage over 30V my Voltcraft 830 shows me "warning", in the manual of the multimer when that pops up there is a mistake with the lines. I suppose I blow up the fuse for low voltage.
I tested with another multimeter much cheaper and I have voltage.

    DM805C AND TM801CS tested and I constantly have 180 V.

I tested the pins which go to backlight and there I have:
    1 D+ 180V
    2 S- 0.323 V
    3...

  • Power Supply Samsung UE32UH4003

I'm not sure but I think the power supply it's the problem.
I unplugged the cable that goes to the main board I didn't have backlight,
I checked the voltage on the cable that goes to LEDs and I have
    1 D+ 0.0
    2 S- 0.011
    3 NC
    4 S- 0.001
    5 D+ 0.002

I have those values and the cable going to BL is plugged.

I touched at the same time pin 1 and pin2 and I had backlight and image on the screen, like the tv it is perfectly working....

    1 D+
    2 S-
    3 NC
    4 S-
    5 D+

    First teste
    pin 1 0 voltage

    Second test
    pin2 0.011
    pin 4 0.001
    pin 5 0.002

I touched by a mistake pin 1 and pin 2 at the same with the red probe and the backlight turned on for 2 seconds. I was curious and I did it again and I saw a spike light on the display for a millisecond every 3 seconds.

I have sound but no backlight, I put the led of my smartphone in the front of the Tv and I imagine on the tv so T-con it's fine and also I checked with 12V the led for the backlight and they are fine. I checked the voltage, the cable which goes to the main board, I have 5.2 on the pins and 0 on the other 5 pins. The cable which goes to the backlight has really small voltage 0.03.
I need some suggestions, either the power supply or main board but I don't know what to check the discovered where is exactly the problem....

Update- I put my laptop on HDMI 1 and I had sound. I tried to do the test again and now doesn't start the light is red I think I completely spoiled the TV).
I did a mistake, I used the multimeter while the tv was working and there were some sparks when I put the cable on same pins.

When I turn on the tv there appears a blue screen and HDMI1 after 2 seconds the intensity of light decreases with 50% and after 2 seconds the screen is almost without light( a roughly blue light appears on the screen) and after the green light on the Tv stays there.

I think could be either the power supply or inverter. Any suggestions, please

Hello, everyone! I'll be very short and on the subject. I wanna make a little business with repairing TVs. I've seen that a lot of people in my city just give away TVs, I want to collect them and try to repair them. I do not have the necessary knowledge to that but Since a few days, I started to learn basics of electricity, AC/DC, capacitors, resistors, etc. I'm going to study those things for a while till I will be able to have basics of electricity and basic knowledge to repair a TV. In the same time I discovered that I'm passionate...
