• Re: Smps (bn 44-000333a)

Thank you R J, BUDM and Andrew F. Ali for you kind help.

TV: Samsung Plasma, Model PN50C7000YF

Please let me know if the following procedure is correct to test SMPS (BN 44-00333A). I want to be sure before doing any testing.

1. Disconnect all cables from the board.
2. Connect power and measure STBY (5 V) and PS-ON voltage (2.5 – 5 V) on CN 801.
3. On connector CN 801 (SMPS to Main Board) short PS-ON pin with ground. Check Va (it should be 55 volts).
Question: Can I use CN 802 (SMPS...

Need Help in Learning
I would like to test the board (BN 44-00333A). I have a few questions regarding reading label on connector CN801 (SMPS to Main board).
Label
15V PS-ON
15V STBY
5.3V 5.3V
5.3V RTN
RTN RTN
15V RTN
15V NC
15V NC
Question: 1 – The voltages given in the left column. Are these the voltages when the TV is in ON position and the voltages on right column, when the TV is in standby positon or it is something else?
Would you explain the followings?
PIN 3 from top: 5.3V 5.3V
PIN 8 from...

• Re: Samsung PS50C7000YFXXY powerboard

RE: To do self test on SMPS Board: BN 44-00333A

Connector CN801 (SMPS to Main Board) - The pin 1 is 15 V STBY

To do the self test on this board, do I have to connect this pin (15 V STBY) to VS-ON (pin 2 on CN802/connector: SMPS to logic board) or do I have supply 5 volts to VS-ON pin.

Standby voltage is normally 5 volts on these boards. On BN 44-00333A it is 15 volts. Is this correct?

Thank you....
