R.I.P. Olevia 747-B11
It served us well for 11 years before a hiccough became permanent; the last gasp was asking us to choose our language but never responded to input and the next power on brought nothing.
As a tech with 50+ years experience, I should have checked power supply output but convinced it was at fault since the set died in steps that could well be caused by this, but instead bought a ‘pull’ out of Ontario, Olevia’s former home.
The replacement supply help nothing so I checked it’s...

Hi all,
Good website on a subject that earned good money for me some years ago.
Bio: Chose electronics as a career after testing an empty light socket at age 12 with a finger.
Military service of 8 years; 3 US Army, 5 in USAF.
Trained and worked as a radar and radio maintenance tech.
