Hello,
Hopefully someone can help, I have a set stick in the screens that are attached in the picture. I have received two spare main boards from a reputable company. With the spare main boards I get sound but no picture. I was told that the boards will have to be "paired" to my set. I have tried the procedure to no avail. Maybe someone can give me some guidance before I take a baseball bat to this 65" junk from Sony.... -

I have a Sony XBR-65X850D that shows symptoms of a bad mainboard. From what I hear it is a very common issue with these sets and there are repair services on EBay and other sites for the boards. Is anyone aware of the common failures with the main boards? When you plug in the set, the mainboard commands the power supply to wake up, all of the voltages are there but no sound or picture. I verified that there is no picture. -
Samsung UN55MU6500 Turns on and off intially
Hey guys,
Just picked up a free Samsung UN55MU6500 today. When you first turn the unit on it turns on and off by itself. It goes into this loop for a few minutes then stays on. I thought firmware, i tried updating it online, it says it has the latest firmware. When I initially turn it on, the panel appears to show a tab failure that the older Samsung panels were notorious for. The bottom portion of the screen is dark and appears delayed. So I'm thinking a panel problem? Anyone else familiar with this problem? -

Another thing to mention, is when screen goes green i can still here sound from the main board, volume controls, channel controls still work which leads me to believe the main board is ok. It seems to respond to the commands appropriately.Leave a comment:

I think I will try a t-con, TV worked great all day yesterday now finally today I got the dreaded all green screen. This time the backlights stayed on. I checked the voltage on both sides of the t-con fuse, 12.6vdc on both sides. Any other tips? When the screen goes all green, there is no video at all.Leave a comment:

Hey guys,
I have a Samsung un55ju6700 that will turn on with a picture for about 2 minutes, then I get a green screen. Next I hear some clicking on one of the boards then the backlights shut off. If I disconnect the LVDS cable from the t-con, the backlights stay on with no problem. I tried disconnecting the panel then connecting the t-con to see if backlights stay on. Backlights shut off anytime t-con is put into the circuit whether or not the panel is connected. Anyone have a similar problem? -
LG 47GA6400 Google TV Tuner Issue
Hey Guys,
Maybe someone else here is familiar with these line of LG Google TVs but when it comes to the tuner, you cannot do a simple scan. The set uses your zip code to look for "local lineups" for your area before the tuner does a scan. The problem is the TV cannot find "lineups" for my area. I've reset the TV, installed the latest updates, verified that my wifi is connected and functional but the set still cannot find the "lineups" for my area. I've researched on Google and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. I can't complain as other... -

Hey Guys,
I wanted to see if anyone has any experience adjusting the LED current on the LED55G55R120Q model. I have one that I got for free that had blown LED backlights. Instead of just replacing the LEDs I would like to lower the current to lengthen the life of the LEDs. I was told this unit's LED driver doesn't have a control IC -

It's not the LED driver, the pinout for the left and right output on the driver board are the same. I swapped the LED banks, put the left bank on the right output and vise versa, the problem followed the left bank LEDs. Time to pull the panel and see whats up.Leave a comment:
