  • Re: Zenith Z50P3 no picture, no sound

Dear Bearcat: I too have a Zenith Z50p3 and it too all of a sudden not picture not sound, so far I have replaced the V sustain and the both V buffer board, still no sound, however after reading some stuff, it appear I need to change the Z sustain. to at least see the picture better as this has to do with its brightness, However I have yet to look into the audio issue. Yes the power comes on and stays on and it shuts off and turns on when you use the remote. Have you at this time come across you audio issue? And as you I did not find anything...

To me just throwing a board into any Plazma Tv to assume its going to cure the issue is not the answer.
My Zenith Z50P3, all of a sudden the screen went dark with nothing but a ½ eliminated area at top of the screen, After talking with what I thought was a person who knew something about what was going on suggested to replace the Y Buffers, which only made matters worse, for the end result was ¾ of the screen being snowy and dark along with vertical bars traveling across the screen for left to right in a sporadic motion....

Well I be jamez46, I believe I started with the TI 44A, which I think was before the C64, I am really old school when it comes to these new systems that are out on the market. I am of the Vietnam era. Honorably discharged 1970. I am looking into a Plazma TV with a strange issue. Soon as I get around to learning how to post its issue I may do so.

Top Cat: Thank you for the welcome, I will try my best not make mistakes being newcomer. I will need to learn your system of ways to post a question. I would also like to know if it is a no no to send a private message to any one user to simply comunicate a question with respect to Plazma TV issues?
