i cranked it up to 480 C and it made short work of the four bad caps on my MSI board.

New iron woohoo!
my little old 20w POS iron died.
so i now i have a perfect excuse.
i have a new Hakko 936-12 ESD Safe Soldering Station with a 50W Iron on its way.

same board, (there are 6 total) the two 10mm jackcon 1500uF 10v caps by the RAM slots are blown.
