Re: RCA RLDED4016a-b
Both Eeproms now work on both main boards turning TV on and side buttons having correct functions.
Thank you, lotas!
Remote still won't work though

RCA RLDED4016a-b
So I got this TV with not turning on symptom.
Using my backlight tester I confirmed that LED backlight is fine. Ordered a replacement main board TP.MS3393.PB851. With this replacement board TV turned on but original remote control will not work on a TV and side buttons are mixed up(for example if I press "Source" TV will increase volume).
So I swapped Eeproms and confirmed that it is a problem on my original main board, meaning with my original main board and an Eeprom from replacement board I got TV to turn on with not working remote and mixed up side buttons and the replacement...

Toshiba 40L5200U
TV has no backlight. BLON is missing. All other voltages for main board and LED driver are present. CPU on a main board was getting hot. There was no cold spray around so I used a "thermo paper receipt method" under the CPU and found a coil L17 "being hot". Removed it, now the CPU is not getting hot anymore but I still don't have BLON.
Can't find any schematic for that main board which is Toshiba 75028898 (431C4R51L01) Main Board. I know that it is available on ShopJimmy, waiting for a customer response on a price.
For the time being I thought maybe anyone has...

Re: Let's talk about BGA Chip suppliers
I thought I would ask. If not allowed please ignore/delete. I am looking for a stencil for a Panasonic MN2WS0270PB to reball or a same chip to buy if re-balling would not help. So far no luck on eBay or aliexpress. Would someone know of different sources? Thanks.

Re: Panasonic TX-L32U3B will not power up
Well, I can't wait till I get home now! Having a Panasonic TC-L32X2 with missing INV_ON and 12V present - page 52 of the attached training guide tells you that A board is to blame!...

Re: ZM821 in BN44-00440A power supply
Yes, CI826 tested good. The marking on the SMPS said that I should have 280VAC on pin 1 of CNI801....

no flash of backlight and about 3VAC on pin 1...

CNI801 when TV is on
pin 10: 12.04V
pin 11: 12.64V
pin 12: 11.21V
main filter caps got 392.6V...

Re: ZM821 in BN44-00440A power supply
Thanks budm! I checked the optoisolator and it’s ok.
Right now when everything is connected when I plug main AC tv standby led blinks 6 times and goes off and TV is on, I can see picture with the flashlight but no backlight. I can turn it off and on. A5V is 5V when TV is off and goes to 0V when I switch it on, B5V comes to 5V and B13V comes to 13V, Blu-ON comes to 5V and P_DIM comes to 0.8V from 0V respectively. So looks like main board sends necessary voltages. SEM 2016 got VCC of 13V. Am I right that it supposed to have some kind...

ZM821 in BN44-00440A power supply
So I am working on a Samsung LN40D550K1FXZC that wasn't powering on.
SMPS BN44-00440A in it had UM801S and RM811 burned. After replacing those two it still didn't have output voltages. So I found a ZM821 between leads(pins) 3&5 and 6 of UM801S that read 20ohm in both directions. After removing it SMPS came back on and I have output. Across those two pads that ZM821 was soldered to is 0.9V. Under a microscope ZM821 marked with Z18. My guess that it is a 1.8V zener diode.
As far as I know schematic isn't available for this SMPS.
The question: is anybody knows for sure what...Last edited by Chuper; 05-17-2018, 07:07 PM.

Re: Sanyo DP50749 not switching on
Ok, took a long time to get it from Korea but in my case ICQ805 (KIA78L15F) voltage regulator quit working. Replaced it and voilĂ TV is working again.Last edited by Chuper; 03-15-2018, 03:05 PM.

Re: Sanyo DP50749 not switching on
PS_ON does change it's value to low 0.022Vdc for those 3-4 seconds....

Sanyo DP50749 not switching on
With everything connected when you press power button relay clicks, the green light comes for about 3-4 seconds, relay clicks light goes away, in one second tries again, clicks, green light comes for 3-4 seconds, clicks, light goes away.
At this moment on the PSU BN44-00274A:
Connector CN802 has:
Pin1 - 5.3V - 0V
Pin2 - 5.3V - 0V
Pin3 - GND
Pin4 - GND
Pin5 - PS_ON - 3.058V
Pin6 - VS_ON - 0V
Connector CN801 has:
Pin1 - PS_ON - 3.058V
Pin2 - VS_ON - 0V (no connected wire)
Pin3 - STBY - 5.285V...

Re: RCA(Proscan) with two seconds of backlight
I did go through the menu and looks like there is no way to lower backlight level. Thank you budm for the manual. I guess this thread came to it's end.
P.S. amazingly helpful forum you got here guys!

Re: RCA(Proscan) with two seconds of backlight
So I went to check voltages on LED- (cathode) against chassis. I don't believe in magic but it does work now. Here are voltage readings after TV powers on:
Connector 1: LED- 0.842Vdc; LED+ 99.7Vdc
Connector 2: LED- 0.885Vdc; LED+ 99.7Vdc
So the question is what did happen that it works now after a day of rest?...Last edited by Chuper; 11-19-2017, 08:44 PM.

Re: RCA(Proscan) with two seconds of backlight
On some of the strips I replaced just one of them and on some as many as four but testing them individually they all lid up evenly and draw same current. That little IC is AS358M.
"Something else you could try is to turn the backlights waaaay down to next to nothin and see if they stay on." - maybe not exactly smart question but how do I do this?
Thank you CapLeaker for you help

RCA(Proscan) with two seconds of backlight
Model: RLDED4633A-D
Main board: TP.MS3393.PC821
There is 10 led light strips with 6 led on each divided between two connectors/lines, so 30 on each connector/line in series, total of 60 led. 21 of these led were open. I changed all open ones. Now I got backlight for about 2 sec. It measures about 145V on two white connectors for led lines for a second without load and climbs up to 75V and slowly drops with them connected when they all briefly come on. I tried checking all strips separately with a power supply applying 20.4V to each and each read about 200mA on my ammeter....
