Given that I currently have the monitor fully disassembled, I can't say for sure, but I think after the funny pattern, I don't think the light remains blue (I think it is blue raher than green when all is active),

The funny pattern starts from the sides, turns into a cone, then it goes blank

Sometimes power cycling a few times makes it come back for a few more minutes, but then it happns again.

I'll post some pictures once I put the monitor back together....

I have the same monitor and after some use, which could be minutes to hours, the screen goes black with a weird fading pattern. Sometimes turning it off/on a few times makes it work a bit longer, but it happens again.

I've just opened the unit up and inspected the caps on:
- ps board, main board and invertor board and didn't notice any peculiarities.

did OP fix his issue?
Any ideas?
