I have an Omron G5L-UA-006000 relay that needs to be replaced and there doesn't seem to be one manufactured under that number anymore. Can someone tell me one that would be equivalent?
The top of the relay says the following:
24VDC
5A250VAC
5A30VDC
Coil 24VDC
It runs the light on a garage door opener. Thanks.

Re: NordicTrack C700 Treadmill Dead Console
Thanks for the help guys, I think we got it! I haven't put it back on the treadmill yet to make certain but I've hooked it to a power brick and it turns on now and makes noise when you press buttons so that's a good sign. I need a lot more practice as soldering but I think this will hold for awhile.
Makes me think a lot less of NordicTrack however if they're putting refurbished boards in new treadmills....

Ok, removed c14 and the short went away. How do I figure out the right capacitor to replace it?

Re: NordicTrack C700 Treadmill Dead Console
I don't have LED strips handy, what other common items could I use to put a load on the power supply?
I have de-soldered the red power supply wire and there is still a short between ground and where it connects to the board. I also de-soldered the transistor which connects to that circuit because I thought those were one of the components that commonly fails and it tests the same as a new one. The short still exists with it removed so that should rule out the transistor and anything it powers, right?
What...Last edited by nrbrandt; 06-16-2019, 08:17 PM.

Top. The red wire connects to the 8 pin block in the upper left. It'd be the 2nd pin from the right with the board oriented this way....Last edited by nrbrandt; 05-31-2019, 09:57 AM.

Re: NordicTrack C700 Treadmill Dead Console
There is continuity between the red wire and both of the ground wires. There is a connector between the motor board and the console board and with that unhooked there is still continuity above the plug as well as right at the console board.
So that would mean something shorted on the console board, right? The only other thing I haven't tried is unplugging everything from that board to see if that makes it go away, but I assume that'd be unlikely to help.

Re: NordicTrack C700 Treadmill Dead Console
Got any suggestions how to disconnect it? The bastards soldered/glued the wires right to the other board. . .
Also, pins 1 and 8 have continuity to ground. They're labeled 'G' so I suppose that's as it should be....

NordicTrack C700 Treadmill Dead Console
Hey all, I have the aforementioned treadmill which worked for a few months and then quit and I could use some help diagnosing it. The safety magnet key is in place and I assume working but there is no response from any of the buttons on the console.
When I opened things up I initially thought the LED on the main control board was blinking rapidly which appears to be the norm for NordicTrack but now I think it may really be blinking the SOS code. See what you think: https://imgur.com/hlhgaSG (see also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QszHrCs72AM)

Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
Was that damage visible? I haven't looked at the Tcon board but the other power supply and main boards don't show any charred spots or bad looking caps.
I'm not really ambitious/knowledgeable enough to start popping off caps or transistors to start testing all of them.

Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
When I was troubleshooting this on my own I found this vid and wondered if it may be the problem. I'm not setup to cook a chip though: https://youtu.be/kbjNq1AyF00Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently...Nq1AyF00

Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
Yeah, I suppose I should have specifically stated at the beginning that sometimes have to powercycle the TV a few times to get the red LED to come on. That problem would be before the backlights can cause an issue, right?
Also sometimes when you plug the TV in turns the screen on without having to hit the power button.

Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
I was watching the front of the TV last night but I tested it again today looking for backlights through the screw holes on the back of the tv.
If both resistors are disconnected, the backlights flash for a split second.
When one of them is disconnected, the backlights come on for about a second. (behaves the same for either resistor)
When both are connected the backlight stays on, but doesn't turn on every time.
What does that tell us?

Ok, with either resistor disconnected the TV comes on for just a second or so when you turn the power back on to it. It never comes on and stays on though....

Yep.
It'll be a few days before I get a chance to work on this but I'll report back when I can....

Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
What's the best way to do this? Take a dental pick and try to pop the wire ends out of the connector? Cut wires and solder them back together later?...

Re: LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
Input: 100-240V 2.0 Amp
Output:
High: 105v
Low: 70v
Should the voltage on the two positives wires match each other (same for the negatives)? Or are there a different amount of back lights hooked to each wire?...

LG 42LN5400 Works intermittently
Hi folks, I'm a novice at TV repair and I need help diagnosing this set.
When you turn the TV on, it's hit or miss whether the back light comes on or not. When the screen does turn on, you can bring up the menu (I don't have anything hooked to it to know if the sound works).
Voltages from the power supply board to main board appear to be normal. The 24 volt pin registers 24.3. DRV ON registers 3.2 and PDIM1 and 2 are both 1.1v.
On the connector to the LED strips I get (from left to right on the connector) 112v, 28v, 74v, and 19v if the back light turns...
