  • Re: Sanyo DP40142 No backlight

Shane771 You wouldn't happen to have this BLD board laying around?
Sanyo DP40142 TV. Backlight driver board SSL400_0D5A REV:1.0
If you do, can you tell me the resistor number on R005?
    Thanks for your time.

Newbie here. I've got a similar problem on a Sanyo DP40142 TV. Backlight driver board SSL400_0D5A REV:1.0 I'm not having any luck on tracking schematics for this TV or board. It has a burnt resistor on R005 and as normal, I cant read the value. Can anyone lend me a hand trying to figure this one out or is there a way I can figure out the resistance? I've tested the leds and the only thing looking bad at this time is that resistor. Something burned it up and I'd like to track it down but need some help.

  • Re: 6800uf (M) 100v caps trouble

I'd like to build a reformer but, I don't get many bad ones. Just the past 4 months put a few on my door step. I still want to see if the cans were installed backward. Not enough time in the day!

I did test them and their capacitance was right around 6780uF actually both tested right near 6800. These should be good replacements for the originals at 6800uF @ 68wv

  • 6800uf (M) 100v caps trouble

Hello, I'm new to this site but have been in the field for years. This is my first posted thread.
I've been doing some repair work on numerous amps, receivers lately. Replacing main filter caps on two different amps I've come across a problem. Running through and replacing 20 year old caps in two amps I have had the same problem two times and can't seem to figure out what's up. On the latest, I've replaced two 6800uf 100v caps on a Fisher CA-800. When powering up the amp the power meters pegged out. I looked the amp over and hadn't done anything wrong. No reversed caps and no debris left...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello, I'm Greg a new person to the forum. Little of my history in electronics come from first repairing my fathers car radio back in 78. I don't know what I did to it but it worked afterward and he was happy. I guess that led to 6 years of electrical schooling in high school. I secretly wired up the schools entire broadcasting system to a radio. They couldn't find out how music was playing through the speakers in every classroom for about two months. HE HE HE. I never got caught. I'm over fifty now and don't like the cold much...
