  • Inter changeable Parts

I have a Samsung UN75F8000AF series 3D TV manufactured Dec/13. And with the good people here found out that the panel bond bottom left on panel is not repairable. So my question is could or should I buy a new 75 inch F8000AF series thinking that all boards on old TV are good (it is 3D though) and I would have parts if new TV had some problems? I really don`t like Samsung being side lit and am thinking a Sony 900 series or an LG being these are full array and dimming. Thanks for looking @ this and helping.

  • Re: Buying a new TV

Yes the Sony X900 series is one I will be checking along with LG, Panasonic and Samsung probably in that order just have to research the bells and whistles that I won`t use and or need to minimize the money spent.

K thanks budm yes I`v learned a lot from this site and always learning ha if it can`t be fixed with a hammer its an electrical problem Still I have some searching to do before I pull the trigger on either a 65 or 75 LED I`m thinking. I am liking the LG OLED as opposed to the Samsung QLED.

Thanks retiredcaps I`ll look into this. And with the failure rate of all newer TV`s and most of their customer service (all of which I horror stories) well we will see it`s a crap shoot but yes get the warranty and maybe something in writing?

K thanks budm I guess I will have to do a lot of research as it seems that there is again a lot of manufacturers that get the cheapest components to get there stuff to the market.

  • Buying a new TV

K now that I bought a used 75 inch LED TV and got hosed I what to ask all your opinions on buying a new TV. It would be about a 75 inch also. Now in sating all this I`m not the tech savvy and tried to fix the one I bought and with this sites help was told the panel was NFG the tab bonding on a Samsung. Can you give your best scenario on the best built TV on the market is. And maybe what to watch out for thanks to all that will help.

K thanks guys yes that is the culprit and it has a burn mark on it where it shorted I don`t think I have the means or equipment to repair and yes it was hot to hot to touch.

Yes that sounds like it. I will check into it thanks again. It is a long way from where I live in Canada I think I will have to give up and take my losses just another life lesson as mentioned earlier buyer beware sucks but oh well.

  • Re: Samsung vertical lines

K thanks Dave wish full thinking I guess in my case. The burn mark is on the clear brown transistor flex part that goes from the left circuit board that has the 2 sides (right and left) from the TCON to the panel itself I guess for a lack of better terminology.
Ha the Sasquatch say`s hi back but be careful he is hungry I will check out that site if I can find it.

  • Re: Samsung vertical lines

K I opened this thing up and it seems to have shorted out the last panel bond on the left side (it has a burn mark on it also) what I was wondering is if I remove that last panel bond and if it will only affect like 8" of left side? I can deal with that if I don`t muck something else. Sorry for the terminology. Out of the TCON it goes to the long transistor boards with about 6 flex bonds not sure exactingly how many @ work now. Would this work?

  • Re: Samsung vertical lines

Hey guys thanks for your thought. I just got home today and I will be dissecting to try and figure it out. I have also come to find that the guy I did buy from is dishonest and found out from his father in law that he dropped it slightly? What ever! Also found out the seller has an substance abuse and needed money so I guess don`t buy from shady people. Once again thanks and opening up this can of sardines.

K well thanks again Tom. I bought second hand and was told it worked fine. Then I found out later he might have dropped it, buyer beware my fault. But karma has a way to deal with dishonest people.

  • Samsung vertical lines

1st of all I would like to say I did look for a general discussion area to post this because I know you like pics and I am @ work for another week near the arctic circle in a diamond mine when home I will post pics. Just hoping for info. K first of all I searched for 3 days after joining and found nothing on my particular model. Which is Samsung UN75F8000AFXZC (C=Canadian? On u tube "A" only shows up). Symptoms are on the far left hand side 8" in is a 3" solid white line with a colored line thru middle of that, then on either side of this white line are a colored line all lines...

Well hello to all. My name is Scott and from just one country north. I am just new to forums and such and getting familiar with navigating this site. Tampatec mentioned all ya and this place seems to have a wealth of goos stuff. And of course I have a problem with my Samsung but will search form for an answer 1st. And as I get better @ navigating I will update my profile. Remember if you don`t have fun doing it just don`t do it.
Take care all troubleshooting questions might follow I will search other posts 1st.
