• Re: Acer 1916w monitor

Please keep me posted on anything you find out. I have for the time being put this on hold.

Had a whole heap of other stuff to deal with. Will look into this further when I can and post myself as well.

Well the CCFL's are not bad, so I think the mosfets are just not good suitible one's to use.

No one has confirmed though if the IRF510 replacements would/could work so I have no clue about that.

So if anyone could please let me know if those could/would work please let me know.

Haven't tried that just yet, so we will see.

Can you or someone else verify if the Mosfests are good replacement ones or not?

Thanks again!!!

[UPDATE]

Well I tried the NTE2389 mosfets and the screen light's up for about 2 or 3 second's(Very dim) and then goes to black, so I am thinking that the Mosfets are not the appropriate ones to light the display properly.

Could someone confirm this please.

Thank You!!! Almost there

• Re: Acer 1916w monitor

Well I'm at a loss for what to do now, as I have replaced the caps, Bridge rectifier and the 2 mosfets. I would love to keep the monitor, just not sure that changing the mosfets again would make a difference.

Don't have the money to get a new power board for it. So any futher suggestions as to what to do or try?

I believe the mofests I used were fine for the replacements, but not 100% sure on that.

So unless someone has something more for me, then it may be off to the land fill.

[OFF TOPIC] I did...

Does anyone know what the value of F102 is when it is working properly? It is right next to the resistor that is circled in red with the black covering over it.

Also does anyone know if that would cause the humming/buzzing issue that I have?

Thanks again for the help

I assume you are talking about c112?

Also what the heck does ESR mean? I have read the info regarding caps on here and other places, but still have no clue.

I'm out for now, but thanks for the help!!!!...

How would I test with a basic VMM. I have volts ohms to choose from?

It doesn't show any signs of damage as you can see by the pic in post number one

NO!!! Not more recapping!!

I replaced the caps with these caps: https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/eaf15635e40a7400b4097216421955af.pdf

Yes I did check the mosfets before putting them in, no shorts. I also checked all the sm fuses F200 and the others.

Did you look at the data sheet for the mosfests I put in, link is in previous post.
Link to mosfets:

Again thanks for the help you can give. Also what would be causing the hummong/buzzing noise from the resistor that I circled...

Well I replaced, the 2 MOSFETS with these: http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/51412/FAIRCHILD/FDB6670AL.html

Replaced the Bridge Rectifier as well.

When everything is hooked up with power board connected to the video board and I plug in the power, the screen comes on and flashes the power button led and the CCFLS and I can't turn the monitor off with the power button.

I did notice that when the power board is not connected to the video board there is a humming/buzzing sound that seems to...

Well looking over the sheet's of the AP40T03GP and the IRF10, to me it looks like it would have no problem with using these, but I am no expert in the field and would like a an opinion from someone who has more technical know how on the matter to chime in on this please.

Thank You!!

I can only tell you one of them as the other has stayed in there. The small one I pulled was a CapXon 105c 47uF 50v GL

Also on it is P721...

OK, guy's I'm here again.

Need some help with some advice.

I may have found a good alternate for the AP40T03 Power MOSFETS, but would like your opinion.

Here are the Data Sheets for I think and hope will be a good sub for them.

Acer 1916w monitor

Hi all,

I got an Acer 1916w monitor here that has some problems.

Model Number: AL1916W A
Version: AL1916W Abd

I replaced all of the caps that were mentioned to be replaced.

My computer recognizes they monitor being plugged in. When I plug in the power to the board, the Power LED light and screen flashes, I can see the CCFL's both flash a bright white when looking at the back of it and it does this just as the power LED goes off.

Measured the voltage at the big 400v cap and it only registers at 67v. What voltage should the cap...
