Re: Akai AK5519UHDS TV LED backlight issue driving me Insaine
Ignore the weird caps hanging off, i temp replaced them just in case that was the issue.
well actually the tester was coming up over 200v and the lights where still very dim. I did check the lights before re assembling, they were dim but ALL working, so i assumed they were going to fine when the board was powering them.
the replacement LED and other around it shine perfectly when tested singularly as well as other ones, same brightness same voltage....

Re: TV LED backlight issue driving me Insaine
So I got another power supply from
Another tv that had similar output for the backlight, connected it up to the backlight LED circuit, plugged it in and “turned it on” is got around 140 -160v but the LEDs did not light up properly. And I’m assuming as long as you do the math and make sure they are 3v LED the strips can be quite interchangeable
i will also let you know there are 50 x 3v LED lights (5 x 10 LED stips) and each strip is actually 2 x 5 LED strips that connect together.
so...

Akai AK5519UHDS TV LED backlight issue driving me Insaine
Hello, so I have a backlight issue that's driving me insaine.
The tv is an AKAI 55” 4K ect ect, tv that turned on but no backlight.
Used a backlight tester and of course, no lights. So spent the good part of 2 millenniums taking off the panel, replacing a single blown LED, testing with my LED tester again, they all turned on, however slightly dim. Put the tv back together and .... nothing....
To make a long story short, the power supply ramped up to the 140-170v to run the backlights but after a second the voltage drops down to 0v, and the tv keeps...

I can test that, witch pins should i test on? and do you want a voltage readout or a scope signal? and witch pots to test with?...

Re: Aron bs-601 scope issue
Could i ask as its doing my head in, what is the relation btween Q18 and Q20 (and Q17 Q19) im asumings ones basicly a mosfet controling the full voltage output but whats the other for? Feedback of some sort or perhaps pulling the voltage down...?

Re: Aron bs-601 scope issue
Helo there,
mostly flat, if iput it on the lowest voltage division i can get a smalll imagae of thr signal, but where it should take up the screem from top to bottom it ont even go up to the first line. The position knob works a bit, again only moves up and down a little bit.
Also should mention that both sides are the same, ive done thoughough testimg on the calibration pots with makes minimal diferences and yes i do have a fully working scope to test with...

Aron bs-601 scope issue
Hello guys,
im trying to fix a Aron BS-601 scope but the issue im having is the vertial part is not worki ng properly, whatever signal you put in ans whatecer setting you use the trace is always very thin and flat.
the problem is the the vertical amp, its only pumpi g out about 12v to the scope with of couse needs to be much more. ive attached the circuit that im refring to, the circuit has all the corect voltages going ito it and q19 nd q20 also have the 120v sitting behind it.
however about 12v is geting to the outputs
The exact way this circuit...

LG 42LE5310 being very forgetful
Hello, I have a LG TV (yes one of those)
that won't tune in any channels, hdmi and everything else works.
the other weird thing is it forgets the time when reset.
and ive tried resolving the pins around the DVB circuit,
would the theory of the ROM chip be corrupt?
the tv trying to write the time and channel info and it getting lost?
all voltages on the board look fine.
also how does the tv keep the time going when turned off?
and what is that button on the main board for? im curious..... but I don't want to push...

Re: GVA- gva50fdled- strange question about stanby
YUP, SPOT ON, putting 5v do BLON and ADJ turned on the back lights.
so the board is turning on PON but not the back lights.....weird.
for funsies Ive pulled out and replaced the windbond chip (and reprogrammed) but same issue. stuck on red light :/
with pretty much everything being controlled by the main CPU i don't know what else it could be :S
