Got a Ilo LCT32HA36 LCD TV that had no power. Opened it to find most all caps on the PSU leaking, bulging. Replaced them now I get power. However it cycles on its own without the press of any buttons. It acts like 2 sec to black and then shuts down on its own and powers back on by itself. Whats really weird is if I hold any of the buttons(except power) and plug it in it powers on and stays on(display and all). When I release whichever button I'm holding it shuts down and starts cycling again.
Is this likely the mainboard?

Re: Repairing PSU FSP271-4F01
I've repaired the exact same PSU with exact same problem. Replacing the bridge rectifier fixed the problem in my case. If you haven't replaced it yet that would be the first thing I would do before going any further.

Re: How hard would this be to fix?
thx for the replies. What should I do take the cap off and take it to RS and let them look at it to see if they have them?

Re: How hard would this be to fix?
I am fairly good with a iron so replacing it is not a problem. My problem is I don't know much about caps. Like I said in my other reply I have a 100uf 16v on a dead video card I could take off if possible. Only difference is I think its a different brand and is a little shorter and fatter but not by much. Will this work?

Re: How hard would this be to fix?
I have another cap off a old video card thats busted. It says 100uf and 16v. Same as the ones on the netgear. Of course it is a little shorter and a little fatter but should fit. Would this work?
Does brand of the cap matter?
BTW it was like that when it came in the mail. It looks like it got banged against something. I bought it for $30 used. I am working on a refund before I attempt to fix it. But just incase the guy won't give a refund I want to be ready to fix it.Last edited by SnipesXxX; 09-10-2006, 04:30 PM.

Have a Netgear 108mbps wireless PCI adapter with this cap. Would it hurt to run it like that or should I repair it first? Where can I get another cap?
