Re: BN44-00222A board with burnt inrush current limiters
I tested it for the second time and the clicking stops in around 3-4 minutes with heat applied to the main board (input board). Do you think that it would be possible to narrow it down to a single component on the main board or are there 2 or 3 components that fail and give the power recycling error most commonly. Problem is I don't have a proper heat gun and have never de-soldered or soldered those components with multiple leads such as included in the main board repair kits. Please comment. Is is possible...

Re: BN44-00222A board with burnt inrush current limiters
Thanks for the reply. I have tried using a hair dryer though the top and bottom vents while the clicking is happening but that made no difference. Do you mean to try to start the tv with the back removed and then when the clicking starts point the hair dryer at different parts of the power supply? I have had the hair dryer within a few inches of the top edge of the power supply though the top air holes, but that made no difference. Occcasionally it ssemed to help to reset the cable box especially after already allowing the...

Re: BN44-00222A board with burnt inrush current limiters
I have had the clicking on and off problem for months and at this point it takes around 3 hours for the tv to turn on. It's a Samsung PN50A530S2FXZC. There are no bad caps on the power supply or elsewhere that I can spot. Is there anything else that might be within the range of a DIY repair. I am presently leaving the tv on 24/7 which is hard on the electricity budget. Any suggestions of anything simple that I could do that might work would be much appreciated.
