why do you say it's harsh? the part was sold with a warranty. why should i not exercise my right to a refund on a part that failed within the warranty period?

well last night the fixed tv would not turn on again, no power led lit at all, so I can't do any diagnostics.

this part seems to be sold out all over the web, I wonder if that means this has a design defect and it fails after a certain number of hours in use?

i'm requesting a refund under warranty, I'll see if I can find another board online, and I'll consider using a cpu fan to blow cool air on the heat sink of the replacement board because I noticed the old board was extremely hot during testing....

I was able to order a replacement board for this tv,
the logic board 1-895-307-11 MBP,
from PartServ
(ShopJimmy was out of stock and low expectations of replenishment),

replace the board,

enter the service menu thru the secret key sequence,

and take a guess at selecting the correct panel (which was extra difficult because the text on screen was so pixelated it was very hard to read.

I used my smart phone to take photos, then edited the photo to increase...

hello, im stu, i repair computers & odd electronic items. my Sony Bravia KDL-60EX645 from 2012 just went to sleep forever in standby, and I ordered a replacement logic board for it. i registered to gain access to the attachments etc in the forum so I can successfully repair it. thank you.
