upgrading laptop CPu from 35tdp to 55.
I have a 3210m inside a fairly good samsung lappy, I want to have a look at fitting a decent cpu, I am thinking about a 55tdp (i,e, socket G2 I7-3940QM). the laptop has a removable cpu (its a budget gaming machine from a few years ago).
Please could somebody help me understand what would need to be done to get this to run safely.
I understand the heat output will increase, though I don't expect it to be too much difference following some research.
I am wondering what issues I may encounter other than the heat increase.
many thanks...

Thank you all
Same problem as described in this thread. stripped laptop to find the F7 had died in spectacular fashion.
will take to specialist to get repaired in the morning.
