  • Re: Acer AL1706b flashing power light

Finally got around to taking the monitor apart, and I found at least 6 bulged caps on the power supply. Ugh.
I picked up a 20" Acer at Wallyworld for $128 CDN, so I decided to fix up the other one and give it to my daughter for her computer. I'm using my old crt for a secondary, but next to the P205H, it sucks, but it'll do for now.

Now to find and check my soldering pencil and see if THAT still works......

I then left it on all the time, and covered the front with a towel to block out the light at night.
The other night, we had a major t-storm and the wife...
