So I'm still pretty novice when it comes to extensive repairs, and I'm a little stumped on this one. This is also my first post on a professional forum like this, (besides the intro-post) so go easy on me! Let me lay out the deets:

I have, in my possession, a Dell Inspiron 3520. Offered to do a data recovery for a friend and asked what the problem seemed to be. He told me that it won't power on. I offered to inspect and troubleshoot the laptop. I discovered that it does indeed power on, but would not boot into the OS. Furthermore, the screen did not turn...
