Yes, there is only one on the board. I'm just trying to identify the part so I can try to find a replacement to swap out.

Here's a better photo of the PCB and the component in question. The unit is powered by (4) AAA batteries. I have 6v at the J connector & both sides of the fuse. I have 6v at the top pin, 0v on the lower left pin & 6v on the lower right pin....

Attached is a photo of the PCB and component location circled in red. It is in series right after the "fuse" from what I can tell. 3.3v comes from the battery source to the J connector. I will post voltage measurements shortly....

Thanks for the reply. I'm not familiar with GO ADVANCED. Is that a camera capture software? I do have a camera on my microscope but I have recently had to break everything down to evacuate due to hurricanes. Looking forward to putting my shop back together after the 4th time this year.

I will check voltage on the 3 pins of the chip and post again.

OK. I got the Fluke back and took it apart again. The part is marked FAAS2 with underlined letters. The PCB indicates it as TR03. Here is an image of the part in question. Just want to see about replacing it but I can't figure out what it is. MOSFET?

hi. I'm trying to repair a Fluke VT02 thermal imaging scanner that the batteries were left in and corroded. I'm trying to identify a component that is labeled FAAS2 with underlined letters. I have no power to the unit so I'm starting from the power source and working my way backward.

It's a SOT23 package with three through hole legs and is right after the fuses in the circuit. Is this a transistor or diode of some type? I don't have a schematic so I'm flying blind. The PCB is marked TR02. I am unable to locate any data on this component and I'm not sure what it does. I have not...
