Reviving an old thread, But does anyone know why I cannot find the password on a CF-3117-01KM? I have unlocked a couple hundred of these by now (CF-31's that is), but all of the ones of this particular build I cannot seem to locate the password to fill with "00"s. I see 4 instances of "AMITSE" but nothing that shows as what is posted with the correct area highlighted. I guess I am just looking for some insight.

NVM, I powered the board on with the motherboard removed, and now it is displaying to external screen, so I seem to have another issue as the board booted to login screen on the bench.

I can't use a clip for this chip, it is soldered to my breakout board and in my T48
Ok, erased and re-flashed. Laptop is now turning on.

I've never done the DMI and Win Key steps before. If someone could assist I would be grateful. This is kind of a time-sensitive repair for a client. I plan on dedicating some time in the near future to learning these steps.

Re: panasonic toughbook CF-31 Bios Password
That was what I originally wrote 00's to. The file I uploaded was the original dump. The only difference from what you did was I did not write 00's to the "01" after "6B". Going to try your file and I will report back....

Re: panasonic toughbook CF-31 Bios Password
Hello, I know this is an older thread, but I have a question. I have unlocked about 50 CF-31's, but this particular one is strange. I thought I correctly filled the block with 00's but when I put the chip back the lock remains. Like I said I have done about 50 so far and I have seen some that had the power on password lock where I had to fill 00's in in two places, some had one. I have searched and searched but I feel like I may be missing something. Does anyone want to take a stab at it? If it solved I would like to know what I missed....

Re: 820-00165 "No Camera detected"
What temps did you use? I have an 820-00165 with a shorted U3900, would like to try to change just for fun. I already sold the customer a replacement board with working U3900 so they gave me the old one.

ASUS ZenBook UX433F No power
Hello, I am working on theis ASUS laptop and it is completely dead. I know laptops use 3.3V and, 5V, and 1.05V power rails, I can find the 5V power rail and the 19V DCIN rail as well as 1.05 but I cannot seem to get 3.3V. I tried to see if SPI was getting its power supply but It is measuring .5V on pin 8. I'm not exactly sure which chip creates 3.3V on the board. Does anyone have any examples of what chips to look for?

I have same laptop. I push power button, fan spins then slows down, then speeds up, then slows down, etc... power light is not steady.
