  • Re: LG tv type 22LD320-az

could have been damaged when serviced by LG technician when still under guarantee!
Apparently , the sides of the socket frame was not soldered to the pcb, there was no solder, when inspected by my usb microscope.

    Thanks
Unfortunately, the lvds cable connector came off, and need to solder it again in place, before I can send you a photo of the white bar.
Incidentally, with the lvds cable off, its a totally white screen.
will revert, when I fix the connector

started a topic LG tv type 22LD320-az

    LG tv type 22LD320-az

a thick horizontal white bar is permanently present, from bottom to almost centre of the screen, on all inputs.
The manual says to check the "module" . But, which module?
This set has a main motherboard, a psu board and a pcb strip behind the screen.
    Any suggestions folks, please?

  • talking of caps

I have a habit of changing caps indiscriminately, because they are unpredictable.
    They are cunning!
They give you full value on test meter, but when they feel they are energised with voltage, they say hey, I do not want to know! .
You can still see nothing wrong when giving them voltage juice, in circuit, but current wise, its another story!
