I have sourced an exact MB82 board so am gonna try that. Don`t think my son will be too cheery if I sell his tv, he has already nicked the LG from my room meanwhile for his gaming.

yes backlight leds are on, shows hitachi logo clearly on switch on ,then no picture. Screen just glows from the backlight. You can see the leds are lit.Last edited by nikko; 03-29-2017, 01:40 PM.Leave a comment:

Hitachi 32hxc01 A turns on,backlit and sound no pic
Hi , trying to repair my son`s tv. It turns on (by plugging in) boots up and hitachi logo appears then nothing. Menu does not appear. It stays on, has sound but the remote does`nt respond, nor do the manual controls . Could this be a firmware problem? It has vestel 17ips19-5 psu and 17mb82-2 logic board.
