I had jumped the gun a little bit with my first reply that it was fixed. After I put it back together I had the same issue. So, I took it apart again and did some more heat and it has been running for a couple days now with no problems.

LG 55lv5500 bad picture no sound
I have an LG 55LV5500-UA.ausyljr that has a scrambled picture and no sound. From what I have read other places I'm thinking that I need to replace the main/logic board. Am I on the right track for this? I didn't see any capacitors that were swollen or anything like that.... -

I have the same problem with my lg 42LB1DRA and wanted to make sure I knew what you did. You replaced the power board (yellow) not the logic/main board (green with the inputs)? Trying to finish getting this put back together to make my wife happy
....

I'm new to the electronics field, but a friend let me help on a computer build a year ago and now I have a hard time going by a rig without taking the side off to see what's inside. I recently got into looking inside TV's, since I learned they are similar. I do not know much about any of this (I own a multi-meter, don't really know how to use it ), but am looking to learn.
