Wow, i somehow fixed it by removing and reinstalling the A board.
Maybe a loose contact or reset somehow??
7 blinks are gone! My Plasma is fixed 8)

Yes they are ebay 2nd hand parts.
I think there is a D board behind the A board. could a bad D board also give the 7 blink error?Leave a comment:

Hey folks,
I have an old 2008 Panasonic TH-42PZ8E Plasma that has the 7 blinks problem after a lightning strike nearby a few years ago. At the time of the strike it was in standby mode.
It has been send for repair before, but the problem came back after a week or so. Back then the mainboard has been replaced.
But here comes the weird part. After turning the tv on and off for a couple of times suddenly the tv stays on and everything is normal. I can watch for hours no problems at all. It is a very annoying problem so i bought another plasma tv for main use and this... -
