My Philips 42PUS7809/12 displays a black screen on all HDMI inputs but only for certain sources. (It knows a signal is received, by there is no picture or sound.) I've got another identical TV and this one works with the same sources/cables so it's most likely a fault with the main board.

Can I replace the main board with one from the same series but different size screen (i.e. 55PUS7809/12)? I've found one for sale at a good price. Is it just a matter of changing the Screen Diversity Code and Option Codes to match the existing board? In the SAM I notice I can...
