Re: MSI 694D ok to use 16v caps?
Hi, I've replaced the 2700 uf 6.3v with 2200 uf 16v.
The system is stable, both cpus work fine - no more resets.
The C390 cap looks fine and is normally fitted - minus with minus.
If I replace it should I invert the polarity? It really seems to be ok.
Thank you for your help!

Re: MSI 694D ok to use 16v caps?
Thank you for replying so soon.
what about 2200 10v instead of the 3300 16v?
is it possible to replace electrolit capacitors for solid capacitors?
I'm an architect, I really don't know much of electronic values, but I like to learn by searching e experiment by myself.
Thank you for your support

MSI 694D ok to use 16v caps?
Hi, i'm from Portugal and recently a friend gave me a server system that was not being used.
It has a msi 694D pro v1 mobo, 2x p3 733, 1 gb ram, scsi card and 18gb hd.
It was working fine until it started to reset itself, I thought it was the psu, but then searched in the net for this mobo, and found your forum.
After reading your posts I confirmed that the 2700 caps are bulging and inflated.
My doubt is if I can use the following caps for replacement:
2700 6.3v -> 3300 16v
1000 6.3v -> 1000 10v
That's...
